American
Heritage - The History of the United States for Young People
This program
isn't something I could see a high school student doing in their free time - not the
"interactive fun" I like. However, it could be successfully implemented as a
middle or high school US History homeschool course.
Most of this program is just reading and scrolling down, but there are lots of interesting
pictures. The directions and controls aren't clear, it takes a while to get the hang of
it. Included are a useful index, a "notebook" to record your own notes, a map of
the US, the text to the Declaration of Independence and The Constitution, list and
biographies of the presidents and other important people in history. There is also a
section about houses in history such as Native American, Victorian, log cabins, and 1950's
suburban houses.
